Introduction

This paper is a review of an article on amorphous computing. It critically analyses the article to determine its strengths and weaknesses as well as identifying areas that the article may be improved on. 

1.Strengths of the article on amorphous computing

The strength of the paper is primarily depicted by the structural design that the writer has employed in the article whereby he simplifies the various areas in amorphous computing through various titles and sub title on the topic. The paper provides strong introductory information and continues with deeper and substantive information on the technical topic. The other strength of this paper is that since the paper is purely a scientific study, the researchers have demonstrated the rather complex area of study in simple and understandable terms and therefore the article can be understood by a reader who is not necessarily literate on computer language. The article provides clear introductory information on the processing of multicellular information.   This gives the readers an overview on what the article is about and a picture of what to find in the details of the article. 

The article is also based on purely scientific and well-researched information on amorphous computing and thus the writers could not have been able to come up with the piece without proper research on the area of study. The writers consult other books and articles on the topic to come up with finings which are backed up by mathematical calculations. It is the mathematical illustrations and diagrams that give strength to this article. The incorporation of ideas from other writers gives readers an unlimited scope of the study rather than the ideas which are primarily given by the author.

2.Weaknesses of the article on amorphous computing

The writer focuses more on mathematical illustrations and diagrams which may not be easily understood by readers. Given that the article addresses a complex scientific are of study, it should be structured in an organized manner, something that has been ignored by the writer. The researcher in this article moves quickly into the substance of the research and excludes a lot of details on the background of the study.

Secondly, the writer does not make a clear distinction between his own arguments and those of other authors. The paper is written in a way that makes the reader think that the writer is making his own assertions and observations on the area of study. The research does not adhere to standards of citation and thus the lack of clarity between the writer’s arguments and those of other authors whose ideas have been incorporated in the paper.

Lastly, the writer has ignored literature review in his work. Literature review is the analysis of other written articles on the same area of study with an aim of finding the weaknesses and gaps that the researcher’s work is seeking to address. 

3.Suggested Improvements of the article on amorphous computing

The article could be improved by the writer by focusing on the substance on the topic and reducing the illustrations by diagrams. The arguments should be advanced in a language which can be easily understood by readers. Secondly, the writer should make clear distinction between his arguments and those of other writers so that the readers may be able to identify the change that this article is proposing. Finally, the writer should include a section of literature review that describes other articles that have been done on the topic while highlighting the gaps that his article is seeking to fill.
